# Traveling while your residency is in process

When you file, Immigration gives you a processing card for six months, with a fee of B/. 30. It does not let you leave Panama and come back freely. For that, you request a multiple entry and exit visa, a separate fee of B/. 50 for less than a year, B/. 100 for the first year and B/. 25 for each additional year.

## The processing card

It shows that your application is in process and is valid for six months. We found no rule that renews it.

## The multiple entry visa

Whoever applies for residency must request it to travel during the process. It is not included in the processing card.
